How do July 4 and Labor Day weekends affect Chapin rentals?
July 4 and Labor Day are the busiest lake-party weekends in Chapin. Labor Day also brings the Chapin Labor Day Festival, with a parade from 912 Chapin Rd and concerts on Beaufort St. Book a week or more ahead for either holiday, because event units deliver before the party.
A Saturday holiday party gets a Friday drop, and pickup is the next business day, which is the Tuesday after Labor Day. Plan 1 unit per 50 guests for up to 4 hours, and add 1 per 100 guests when alcohol is served. Groups running a public event in town file the Town of Chapin special event permit application.
Can a truck reach a Chapin lake house on a long drive?
Our truck needs to park within about 25 feet of the unit spot, on a drive that is firm and clear of low wires. Many Chapin lake homes sit at the end of long, narrow drives. Send a photo or GPS pin so we can plan the drop before delivery day.
A standard unit fits through a gate at least 4 feet wide, so side-yard placement often works. Wheelchair-accessible units and trailers need an open drive. Crooked Creek Park, off SC-48 via Lexington St, is run by the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission; ask the commission before placing units for a park event.
Which porta potty fits common Chapin jobs?
Chapin jobs follow the lake. Holiday parties need a deluxe flushing unit or standard units with a hand wash station. Lake-home builds and dock work need a standard unit with weekly service. Lake-house weddings often step up to a restroom trailer. The table below matches each Chapin job to a unit.
| Common job | Recommended unit | Servicing |
|---|---|---|
| Lake Murray July 4 or Labor Day party | deluxe flushing unit, or standard porta potty + hand wash station | None; picked up the next business day |
| Labor Day parade-route gathering | standard porta potties | Event rental, one price for the weekend |
| New lake home build in Timberlake | standard porta potty | Weekly pump-out, cleaning and restock on a 28-day cycle |
| Wedding at a lake house | restroom trailer | Needs a 20-amp outlet and a garden hose; book 7+ days ahead |
| Dock or boathouse repair crew | standard porta potty | Weekly service until you call for pickup |
Chapin porta potty rental questions
When do you pick up units after a Chapin Labor Day party?
Pickup is the next business day, which is the Tuesday after Labor Day. The price stays the same because event rentals are priced per rental, not per day.
Can I get a restroom trailer for a Lake Murray wedding in Chapin?
A 2-stall restroom trailer works for most lake-house weddings. The trailer needs a level spot, a standard outdoor 20-amp outlet and a garden hose, or we quote a generator and water tank. Book 7 or more days ahead.
Is Chapin too far for same-day delivery?
Chapin is inside our same-day area. Call by 12 PM Mon–Sat, and if a unit and route space are open, the unit arrives that day. A rush fee may apply, and we state the amount before you book.
Where do I get a Town of Chapin special event permit?
The Town of Chapin posts a special event permit application online. Use the application for events on town streets or property, such as downtown gatherings near Beaufort St.
How many porta potties for a 100-guest Chapin boat party?
Two units cover 100 guests for up to 4 hours under our sizing method. Add 1 more when alcohol is served, and add 1 hand wash station for the group.
