A standard porta potty fits most Columbia jobsites, backyard parties and church events. Columbia renters use porta potties for four main jobs: construction and roofing sites, events and parties, home remodels or septic failures, and long-term rentals on farms and land. Each job needs a different setup, service schedule and billing period, so each has its own page with the details.
OSHA unit counts, weekly service and 28-day billing for crews.
Birthdays, reunions, festivals, funerals and church functions.
Porta potty rental in Columbia takes four steps: call (803) 343-9777 with your address and dates, confirm the spot, get delivery the same day or the day before your event, then call for pickup. Monthly rentals get weekly cleaning until you call to end billing.
Tell us the address or a map pin, dates, headcount and where the unit should sit.
Unit, rental period, delivery, pickup, servicing and tax — all listed before you pay.
The driver calls about 30 minutes ahead. You don’t need to be home if the spot is marked.
Weekly cleaning on monthly rentals. Event units are picked up the next business day.
Placement, gate width and access rules are covered in how porta potty rental works.
Plan 1 standard porta potty for every 50 guests at an event of up to 4 hours. For events longer than 4 hours, add 1 unit per 100 guests, and add 1 more unit per 100 guests if alcohol is served. Construction crews follow OSHA Table D-1 as the legal minimum.
These counts are our planning method, not a legal rule. Public events also need at least 5% wheelchair-accessible units under the 2010 ADA Standards.
| Guests (up to 4 hrs) | Standard units | With alcohol |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | 1 | 2 |
| 100 | 2 | 3 |
| 150 | 3 | 5 |
| 200 | 4 | 6 |

Roy Rental Works delivers porta potties across Columbia and the Midlands, from Northeast Columbia neighborhoods near our Two Notch Rd yard to Lexington, Irmo, Blythewood, Elgin and Camden. Farther towns like Orangeburg, Sumter, Newberry and Aiken are served on a scheduled route with next-day delivery as the standard.
Older Columbia neighborhoods have narrow driveways and tree cover. Tell us about tight access when you call so we send the right truck.
“If we can’t make your time or reach your spot, we tell you on the first call — not after you’ve paid.”Roy · Owner, Roy Rental Works
A local porta potty company means the person you call knows the roads, the yard is 10 minutes from Northeast Columbia, and same-day delivery is a real option. Roy Rental Works owns its units and trucks, so the price you are quoted is the price you pay.

A standard porta potty for a weekend event in Columbia is an estimated $175–$275, delivered and picked up. A monthly jobsite unit with weekly cleaning is an estimated $175–$275 per 28 days plus a one-time delivery charge. These are estimates; your itemized quote is final. See the full cost guide.
Same-day delivery is available across the Columbia area when you call (803) 343-9777 by 12 PM, Monday–Saturday, and a unit is open on the route. A same-day rush fee may apply, and we tell you the amount before you book. How same-day delivery works.
Event rentals are priced per rental, not per day. The price covers delivery the day before, your event, and pickup the next business day. A Saturday party and a Friday-to-Sunday weekend cost the same.
You do not need to be home if the spot is marked with a cone, flag or ribbon and the truck can reach it. The driver calls about 30 minutes before arriving. Gate codes and locked gates should be shared when you book.
A standard porta potty comes with a toilet seat, a urinal, a roof vent, a coat hook, toilet paper and a hand sanitizer dispenser. The unit is cleaned and deodorized before delivery. Sinks inside come with the deluxe flushing unit.
A standard porta potty can go in a backyard when the gate is at least 4 feet wide and the spot is level and within about 25 feet of where our truck can park. Wheelchair-accessible units and trailers need an open drive. Placement checklist.
Call (803) 343-9777 when you are done, and billing stops from the day you call. Monthly rentals run on a 28-day cycle and are not picked up automatically, so the unit stays until you ask for pickup.
Roy Rental Works takes Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover at booking. Businesses, churches and schools can ask about invoicing, and tax-exempt groups can send their certificate to remove sales tax.
