Towns and communities we serve in Kershaw County
Kershaw County sits right up US-1 from our Two Notch Rd yard. Elgin is about 12 to 15 minutes away, Lugoff is 20 to 25 minutes, and Camden is 30 to 35 minutes. That short drive puts most of Kershaw County inside our same-day zone when you call by 12 PM.
Kershaw County permits and unincorporated land
Kershaw County handles building permits and inspections for unincorporated places like Lugoff, Cassatt and Boykin. Lugoff has no town government, so the county is the only permit office there. Camden and Elgin handle their own town matters, so call town hall about events inside town limits.
Building permit steps are on the Kershaw County building permits page.
One catch: many Woodcreek Farms and Spears Creek homes have Elgin 29045 addresses but sit in Richland County. Check your tax bill before you file.
Carolina Cup and rural Kershaw County notes
The Carolina Cup at Springdale Race Course in Camden is held in late March and draws more than 30,000 fans. Tailgate groups should book porta potties several weeks ahead. Rural Kershaw County lots with no address can use a GPS map pin for delivery.
For tailgate spots and farm land, send a pin and mark the spot with a cone or flag. Our truck needs to park within about 25 feet of the unit.
Elgin and Lugoff have steady new-home building. Builders often keep one construction porta potty per lot on a 28-day cycle with weekly service.
Which unit fits common Kershaw County jobs
Most Kershaw County jobs need a standard porta potty. Public events add wheelchair-accessible units and hand wash stations. Weddings and upscale parties step up to deluxe flushing units or a restroom trailer. Use the table below as our recommendation, then confirm the count on your quote.
| Typical job | Unit we recommend |

Kershaw County porta potty questions
Who handles permits in Lugoff since it is not a town?
Kershaw County handles permits in Lugoff because Lugoff is unincorporated. The county planning and zoning office covers building permits and inspections there. A porta potty for a home project does not need its own permit, but a large public event may need county approval.
How early should I book porta potties for the Carolina Cup?
Book Carolina Cup porta potties at least 3 to 4 weeks before the race in late March. The race draws more than 30,000 fans, so units go fast. Tell us your tailgate spot and group size, and we deliver before race day.
My Elgin address is in Richland County. Can you still deliver?
Elgin 29045 addresses in Woodcreek Farms and the Spears Creek area are in Richland County, and we deliver there the same way. The address only changes which county office handles permits. Delivery time from our yard stays about 12 to 20 minutes.
Can you deliver to Kershaw County farm land with no street address?
Send a GPS map pin and we can deliver to farm land, hunt clubs and lake lots with no street address. Mark the exact spot with a flag or cone. The ground should be level and firm, and within about 25 feet of where our truck parks.
